A message from the Royal Free Music Society:
The RFMS will be running a masterclass on Saturday 27th Feb. The masterclass will focus on developing vocal quality and will be based on the Duruflé requiem. For more information and booking: http://royalfreemusicsociety.org.uk/masterclass
In addition, your members would be very welcome to come to our next concert on 19th March when we will be singing the Duruflé requiem (hopefully putting what we have learnt in the masterclass to good use) and our sister orchestra, the Hampstead Sinfonietta will be performing Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture and Scottish Symphony. See http://royalfreemusicsociety.org.uk/next-concert for more information.

We’re pleased to share the following message which we received from Anita Brien at St. Joseph’s Hospice following our Christmas concert.
“From myself and everyone at St Joseph’s Hospice, thank you to all who took part in the Islington Choral Society Christmas Concert 2015. It is so generous of you to support us in this way and £1597.79 is a huge amount of money; thank you. I can assure you that it will be spent responsibly wherever it is most needed across the Hospice.
£1597 could pay for 55 hours of nursing care on one of our wards, 38 sessions of bereavement counselling for a family who have lost a loved one or 16 visits by our community nursing teams to patients in their own homes. Your donation will make a direct positive impact on the quality of life of our patients.
Thank you again to everyone who took part in your Christmas concert.”
