However we also perform newly commissioned works (the latest is Highbury Fields by Brian Inglis, to be performed at our anniversay concert on 30 June 2013) and some interesting less-well-known pieces, from old favourites like Handel’s Messiah to new challenges like Fanshawe’s African Sanctus, from Verdi’s majestic Requiem to Mendelssohn’s majestic Elijah, from the peace of Fauré’s Requiem to the liveliness of Orff’s Carmina Burana, our repertoire is varied and exciting.
