Chance to sing in Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius

Edward Elgar statueICS members have been invited to consider singing in Elgar’s masterpiece, The Dream of Gerontius, in St John’s Smith Square on Saturday 13 October in aid of the Three Choirs Festival with Philharmonia Orchestra players playing alongside music college students. This is a ‘come and sing’ event, with a rehearsal in the afternoon and performance in the evening; you will need to have sung this before!

The conductor is Adrian Partington (“Probably the best choral trainer of his generation” according to Richard Hickox) and the soloists are  Kitty Whateley, Andrew Goodwin and Duncan Rock. Singers and audience members are very welcome. Please visit for further information and sign up details. All voice parts welcome.
