If you are still on a high after the fantastic Carmina Burana last Saturday and not looking forward to a two month gap with no singing, then the good news is that Summer Singers starts up again next Tuesday to help you get through the summer break.

If you haven’t been to Summer Singers before, they are fun evenings run by a different musical director each week who rehearse music in any style from Renaissance polyphony to soul and gospel and all points in between. The sessions are strictly for enjoyment and the chance to sing different repertoire in a small group. And all you have to do is turn up on the night and sing … and pay the modest fee of £5 a week or £30 for all eight of course!

We start on Tuesday 12th of July when Mark Denza will be in charge. The full programme is not quite settled but will include Colin Vassell’s popular gospel evening, and old favourites Philip Godfrey, Alison Denza, Paul Ayres, and Jonathan Rathbone whose session on the 16th August will be back at Highbury Baptist Church  instead of Christ Church.  Full details of when and where : click the image.

Hope to see you there … and if not, have a great summer and hopefully we’ll meet again on the 13th September for the new season.
