JGS

Every so often we run an event called a “Jolly Good Sing”. The event takes place on the afternoon of a Saturday and Sunday and the idea is that you come along, rehearse a piece for a few hours and then perform it in the early evening. It’s not something done for an audience (although sometimes a few people come along) but done for your own enjoyment to have fun starting from scratch. The details of the last time we did this are below.

Join us for a “Jolly Good Sing”, to practise and perform the much-loved Faure Requiem, together with a selection of romantic motets, from scratch.  Everyone is welcome to this informal event – choir members and non-members alike.  No previous experience required, so don’t worry if you haven’t sung it before. Just turn up (and bring a friend if you like)!  If you have a copy of the score, please bring it  (we will be using the Hamelle edition of the Requiem) , but there will be plenty of copies to borrow on the day.
