We extend a warm invitation to anyone who might like to join us – if you are interested, please come along to any rehearsal or performance.  You can find details of rehearsal and concert dates by looking at the Rehearsals page linked at the top of this page.

The best way to join us is to come at the beginning of one of the sessions (winter, spring, summer), to try it for a week or two and then you pay your money in person at the rehearsal.

Details of membership, fees and our few rules are, not surprisingly, on the Membership page.

No formal auditions are held, and although some ability to read music is useful, it isn’t essential; nor is previous experience of choral singing. More important is a love of music and a capacity for enthusiasm and commitment.

We are delighted to welcome all prospective members, including people who are thinking about taking up singing again after not singing for a while. The choir is a friendly group of about one hundred people of all ages and from all backgrounds.

Hi, I would really like to join the choir but i am very aware that we are heading towards the end of your winter term. I used to sing a great deal but university got in the way and i’m now a bit out of practice but would love to get back into singing asap. Is it too late to join the winter term or shall i wait until spring?

    Many thanks
